This station commemorates the train of the line Llobregat-Anoia of the Ferrocarils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) known as “El Carrilet”, due to its old tight rails. It was buried here until the 80’s. This line was used to carry minerals and textile products in XIX century and it was created from the union of three rails lines: Igualada-Martorell, Manresa-Berga, Barcelona-Martorell. In 1919 the Companyia General de Ferrocarils Catalans (CGFC) was created. It merged all the lines and it created a new one between Martorell and Manresa. This line was assumed from the Generalitat de Catalunya in 1978.
